Programme Directors are often the most appropriate person to initiate approval of new programmes and manage any modifications or withdrawals of programmes. For new programmes, this may be in the capacity of Programme Director designate or as a Programme Director who is adding a new programme to the existing portfolio. The Programme Director should also involve members of the Programme Team and other stakeholders such as the School’s Quality Officer.

It is the responsibility of Programme Directors (and programme proposers) to ensure that proposals for new programmes and for modifications to existing programmes are brought to the attention of the relevant University committees (for example, PASC, GSMC, CPSG, and the relevant School SMT/LTC as is appropriate) in a timely manner. The programme design, approval, modification and withdrawal procedures and policies are subject to change, therefore, the most up to date information can be found on the quality section of the University website.
