External examiner and assignment briefs
When an External Examiner starts their tenure it is the responsibility of the Programme Director (often via the Programme Administrator) to provide them with information about the assessments on the programme. Sending the External Examiner the module descriptors for all the modules on the programme will provide this information (for a full list of items to provide see the External Examiners section of the University website). It is important to include the assessment briefs and (where possible) sample answers when any assignment briefs are sent to the External Examiners for ratification. This task is likely to be accomplished via the Programme Administrator (but initiated by the Programme Director).
