- the introduction of new taught programmes of study and programme modification and withdrawal; considering and approving proposals in this area on behalf of the University Learning and Teaching Committee (ULTC) and making recommendations to the Senate;
- the Annual Monitoring and Review of taught programmes;
- the Periodic Review of taught programmes; considering and approving reports and responses to these reviews on behalf of ULTC, and making recommendations to the Senate;
- the academic regulatory framework for taught students; considering and approving all relevant regulations in this area on behalf of LTC, and making recommendations to the Senate;
- the guidelines for collaborative activity.
