The Operational Learning and Teaching Committee is a University level committee that oversees the operation of the policies and processes listed below. It reports to the University Learning and Teaching Committee. In your role as a Programme Director you will not need to attend the committee (click for a list of current members) but some aspects of the work you manage/co-ordinate will be reported within this forum, for example, the annual monitoring and review of taught programmes (see below):

  • the introduction of new taught programmes of study and programme modification and withdrawal; considering and approving proposals in this area on behalf of the University Learning and Teaching Committee (ULTC) and making recommendations to the Senate;
  • the Annual Monitoring and Review of taught programmes;
  • the Periodic Review of taught programmes; considering and approving reports and responses to these reviews on behalf of ULTC, and making recommendations to the Senate;
  • the academic regulatory framework for taught students; considering and approving all relevant regulations in this area on behalf of LTC, and making recommendations to the Senate;
  • the guidelines for collaborative activity.
