Aston University regulations state that membership of programme boards are as follows:

  • Chairperson appointed by the Senate on the recommendation of the School LTC responsible for the programme
  • Representatives of the staff associated with programme management
  • Representatives of the appropriate Module Boards, normally one per Board
  • The Internal Examiner for any module of the relevant programme stage that does not fall within the remit of a Module Board
  • Appropriate Executive Dean(s) or his/her nominee, if not already members (ex officio)
  • The External Examiner(s)

If the programme is collaborative the agreement with the collaborative partner in relation to the examination board must be followed. For more information on collaborative provision see the Collaborative Provision section of the University website.
